SZA is back with a new album titled SOS. Here are some reasons why the delay was definitely worth it.

It's been five long years since SZA put out her first album, "Ctrl," which made her the It girl of R&B right away.

Since then, SZA had hits with Kendrick Lamar ("All the Stars," from "Black Panther" in 2018) and Doja Cat ("Kiss Me More," which won a Grammy in 2021).

However, her sophomore album, titled "SOS," was released on Friday, marking the end of the long wait for its release.

One of the best lines from her song is "I might kill my ex; I still love him though," which can be found at the beginning.

SZA sings, "I ain't no Julia Stiles/This ain't no last dance/Way past it," a line from the movie "Save the Last Dance" from 2001.

Is SZA trying to get into movies? Because she mentions the 2014 thriller starring Ben Affleck and for the third time movie reference in "SOS."

Over a moody beat, she sings about how she needs her own space: "Squeezing too tight, boy, you're losing me." This is the opposite of what most dudes do.

A lot of "SOS" has a haunting vibe, but never more so than on the spooky electro-soul vibe-out with alt-rock star Phoebe Bridgers.

On an acoustic guitar ballad that veers from groovy to folky, SZA channels Taylor Swift. You really get her when she's most vulnerable.
